Floyd Mayweather Sr.father of the iconic Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. is a reckoning force in the boxing world. Mayweather is a trainer like no other. He has trained boxing legends like Gervonta Davis, Oscar De La Hoyaand Chad Dawson. He is a former welterweight contender, famous for his defensive abilities, which have been passed down to his son. The man now acts as a lead trainer in The Mayweather gym in Las Vegas.

Training with the best comes with harsh and tough practices. The Mayweather channel recently posted a video of Mayweather Sr. training with a young boxer. The legend on the pads against the young fighter set the pace of the training. While doing some light work, Mayweather allegedly hit the boxer bloodying his nose. Many fans took to the comment section to react to the incident.

The short clip which has over 3000 views was posted by ‘The Mayweather Channel’. It is a channel dedicated primarily to Mayweather Sr. and Jeff Mayweather, Mayweather Jr.’s uncle. However, it also shares news about other boxers and their event and banters. The channel has a massive follower count of 500,000 and about 3,400 videos. The clip itself has about 80 likes.

In the clip, Mayweather is wearing boxing pads, sparring with his trainee. The cameraman meanwhile can be heard saying, “Floyd you gotta let him hit the pads.” The trainee seems confident while his 71-year-old trainer seems to be in a stubborn mood. After going around the ring, trying to assess each other, Mayweather Sr. lands a blow directly on his trainee’s face. The trainee, however, quickly laughs it off.

The clip seems to have entertained the fans, who quickly took to the comments section to air their thoughts. One fan said, “The ending is so funny lol I didn’t see that coming especially with the faces Floyd Sr. was making lmfao,” referencing the faces that Mayweather Sr. was making while throwing up the pads.

Another fan expressed his admiration, saying, “Wow that’s just some real power.”

One user wrote, “Bro said, I thought we were getting pad work! My guy, that’s part of Pad work,” referring to the toughness of the training and the injury he suffered.

Overall, fans seemed to enjoy Mayweather Sr. training up youngsters in the ring. His abilities as a trainer are undoubtedly remarkable. Mayweather continues to let the world know of his presence and still actively participates in the boxing banter. Age does not beat skill.
