“The Crazy One Was Jim”: Tommy Davidson Reveals Surprising Truth About Jim Carrey on Mike Tyson’s Podcast

Tommy Davidson is a famous American comedian, and he’s been on the scene for a long time now. And recently he was invited as the guest on the former Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Mike Tyson‘s podcast. So Davidson appeared as a guest in the recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, where he took up a lot of topics with Tyson and the co-host, DJ Whoo Kid. Both Tyson and Davidson shared stories from their respective fields. Tyson shared his boxing stories, while Davidson talked about some instances with comedians. So Davidson revealed the name of the craziest comedian in the game.

There were times when both of them were also curious about each other’s professions. And many times, Davidson took this episode as an opportunity to know Tyson better, so he asked him about his opinions on many classic boxers, and Tyson even revealed the boxers who inspired him to pursue boxing besides Muhammad Ali.

The co-host of the podcast, DJ Whoo Kid, asked Davidson, which comedian in the business, is the craziest, while Kid predicted it to be Jamie Foxx. Davidson thought about his answer for a second and finally gave the name of the comedian.

He said, “Oh I don’t know if there was a crazy one. I think the crazy one was Jim [Carrey]”. Then Tyson intercepted the conversation and also gave his opinions about Carrey. He said, “He’s awesome.”

Then Davidson stated how Jim Carrey can actually teach how far you can take one joke. And for that reason, many people refused to work alongside him in the sketches, then he went on the explain the work process of the comedian.

Nevertheless, Davidson stood up to find some space in front of the couch where he’d enact Carrey’s style. So he went near Mike Tyson and then enacted the entire scene while narrating everything that happened on the filming set while using his body at the same time.

Davidson said, “He’s supposed to fall on the ground for a second and get up and I’m supposed to hit him with sutures you know, right? So I’d say the line, right? And so he falls right, back, right? And he’s on the ground, right?”

Then Davidson starts shaking on the ground, just like Carrey, who usually uses his flamboyant body language to produce humor.
