Anthony Joshua is determined to make his way to the top of heavyweight boxing again after defeating Jermaine Franklin in a boxing match. This was an important fight for Joshua because he was coming out of two consecutive losses at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk. So, he took this fight seriously and wanted to show the world that he’s still got some fire left in him as a boxer. To Joshua’s relief, he won over Franklin by unanimous decision. And then in the post-fight press conference, he talked about who his next opponent would be for a potential bout in the future.
Now, Anthony Joshua was a former heavyweight champion before he got stripped of his title by Oleksandr Usyk. The second Usyk fight was a shock to Joshua, and he even made a speech after he lost the fight which was criticized by many boxing fans. Recently, he even gave up on his biggest dream.
But now, he is thinking about his next opponent after the completion of the Franklin fight.

Anthony Joshua wants to fight Tyson Fury next
So, FightHype uploaded a segment of the post-fight conference, where the reporter asked ‘AJ’ about his future plans for his next fight and who he wants his opponent to be in that fight.
Anthony Joshua stated that he wants to fight Tyson Fury next who is the best in the game right now. He wants to grab the highest memento he can get as a heavyweight boxer.
Joshua when asked who’d he choose as his next opponent, said, “Yeah a hundred percent Tyson Fury. That’s the pot of gold, that’s a WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World, bro. That’s like, that’s what it’s about. So yeah, definitely Tyson Fury.”
Anthony Joshua, before this, also talked about how he’s being easy on himself and doesn’t really focus on winning and losing. He even tackled some criticism regarding Jermaine Franklin lasting the entire 12 rounds with him.

Joshua talked about how many young boxers think it’s a shame that they couldn’t finish off a fighter within 12 rounds. However, he said that sometimes boxers need to play smart inside the ring and cannot just swing without thinking.
He also stated that even Mike Tyson went full 12 rounds against opponents like Pinklon Thomas and Tony Tucker.
After this, ‘AJ’ talked about how he is less focused on winning or losing a bout, instead, he makes sure that he gives his best as he cares about himself more now. And he doesn’t want to take much pressure that comes with the expectation of the game at such an elite level.
