Deonaty Wilder recently called out Anthony Joshua by stating he was ready to go. Likewise, suggesting they should make the best time of their lives, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ urged ‘AJ’ to take the fight. In addition, he announced that the two would make history should the fight happen. At this, while Wilder pursued Joshua, Francis Ngannou stepped inside the ring with Tyson Fury.

And now that Ngannou impressed the world with his boxing skills, team Joshua feels there is benefit in facing ‘The Predator.’ In that connection, Eddie Hearn, promoter of ‘AJ’ recently revealed that he of late spoke to Ngannou’s team. And while the offer from Wilder remains awake, Hearn disclosed the possibilities of Joshua facing Ngannou before the end of 2023.

According to Hearn, although they are not disregarding the offer from Wilder, ‘AJ’ should deal with Ngannou, ranked 591 by BoxRec, first if possible. As per his statement, should team Ngannou accept Joshua’s offer, the fight would take place as early as December 23rd. “We’d take that fight on December 23. No problem. We’re looking at that date for Joshua, anyway. So, maybe I’ll reach out to them and just say, ‘Listen if you need an opponent for Francis Ngannou, AJ’s ready. December 23. No problem at all,'” Hearn told Boxing News.

However, Hearn also assured the fans that they would proceed with the Wilder fight if Ngannou’s team did not show interest. “Our plan at the moment or pre-Saturday was to fight in December or in January. And fight Deontay Wilder. That’s still the case,” Hearn declared. “But I’ve reached out to Ngannou’s team today to say just ‘If we’re in your plans, let me know. If not, don’t worry about it.’ And we’ll just go ahead with what we’re doing,” he added.

In this context, Hearn also revealed that he had yet to talk to ‘AJ’ about the Ngannou fight. However, should Joshua listen, the promoter assured he would advise ‘AJ’ to take the Francis bout “in a heartbeat.” At this, while Hearn pushed for ‘AJ’ vs. ‘The Predator,’ Ngannou’s agent recently stated the mixed martial artist would beat Joshua easily.
