On paper, the bout appears to be one side— in favor of Fury. However, it bears a mention that the sport of boxing is unpredictable, especially when two heavyweight titans go at it. At times, you do not need skills but just one clean punch. If Ngannou manages to land clean of Fury in the early rounds then, one can most likely witness one of the biggest upsets in sports history. Jeff Mayweather thinks that Ngannou does have a puncher’s chance.

Reflecting upon the same, in an interview with The Mayweather Channel,  He stated, “Well I mean, I think, Ngannou got a chance. He got a puncher’s chance. That’s mostly what anybody coming from a different sport has that kind of chance when you talking about the best heavyweight in the world.”

Although his opinion may not be popular. Many do not consider Ngannou to have even a puncher’s chance. However, only time can reveal what would go down in the fight. Until then, let’s take a closer look at what stakes are in hand for ‘The Gypsy King.’
