In August this year, At Home with the Furys, a docusoap that explored the “eccentricities” of Tyson Fury‘s family life was released. Ahead of his upcoming fight with Francis Ngannou on October 28th, ‘The Gypsy King’ revealed the feedback his docusoap has received. Speaking to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, the WBC title holder elaborated on what he and his family felt about the show by Netflix.
In a conversation with Dev Sahni, ‘The Gypsy King’ revealed that he watched the docusoap the “first day” it was “dropped“. “The first day, all nine episodes, one after another,” Fury added. And while he and his family were “happy” regarding how “it all turned out,” the 35-year-old thought it was ridiculous given the docusoap’s success in his country.

Sahni informed Fury that his stocks went up and that he became more famous following the release of At Home with the Furys. At this, on being asked whether or not he enjoyed the journey, Fury declared he was delighted that his docusoap was “number one for two weeks“. “It’s been number one in ten countries for a month. It’s been unbelievable. Netflix got some feedback. It’s the biggest viewed TV show they’ve ever done in the UK,” he added.
“Since Netflix started in England, this is the highest one out of all of them. That’s an interesting fact, isn’t it? The old fat man has done the biggest Netflix series the UK has ever had. That’s f*cking jokes, isn’t it?” Fury announced. Following this, ‘The Gypsy King’ answered whether or not it was hard to watch himself on TV.

So, watching myself on TV, hard times, good times, bad times – it’s all a part of who I am,” Fury said. In this connection, he informed Sahini that everybody wanted a second series. “It’s been well received because I’ve had tonnes and tonnes of feedback. Very positive and everybody wants to see a second series,” he concluded.
