Are you not entertained? Neeraj Goyat brought his A-game to the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul on November 15, as he stood across from Whindersson Nunes, all the while showboating to the fans. The Indian boxer not only brought his class as a boxer but also as an entertainer as he swayed the fans with his antics inside the squared circle.

Goyat won the fight as the middleweight fight went the distance. He swept the judges’ scorecards, as they read 59-55, 60-54 x2, in his favor. This win also marked his inaugural partnership with MVP with a win, as he will adorn more fight cards in the future.

Goyat started the fight strongly, as he initially targeted Nunes’ body and then slipped away. He pushed forward and put the pressure on as he tested Nunes’ conditioning along with the latter’s boxing prowess. By the middle of the fight, Goyat was mixing showmanship and boxing prowess as he sailed with ease through the fight. However, Nunes had openings, which he failed to capitalize on.

While Goyat seemed out of stamina in the later rounds, that didn’t stop him from bagging every round. Goyat came out all guns blazing in the final round as he unloaded combinations and secured the win. Rosie Perez perfectly summed up the fight: “It was a sloppy fight, but it was fun!” Goyat’s theatrics, speed, and punches impressed the fans and pros, who took to their social media handles and expressed their take on the fight.

Amanda Cerny turned to her X handle and revealed how ‘RRR’ was one of her favorite movies. She wrote, “RRR is one o( my favorite films 🔥🔥” while adding in another post, “Fight night! Making historyyyy gooooo @jakepaul🎉🎉.” ‘RRR’ is an Indian movie that won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2022 for its song, ‘Nattu Nattu’.

A fan pointed out the attention to the sequence when Goyat pushed Nunes to the corner and danced on him, suggesting disrespect. They noted, “Neeraj Goyat owned Whindersson Nunes 😂😂😂” The visuals reminded fans of Adrien Broner, who did something similar when he fought Marcos Maidana in 2013 and yet lost the fight.

However, someone was critical of the fight. They claimed, “Neeraj Goyat is hot garbage. Nunes basically sparred him for a check.” Nunes failed to test Goyat for most of the fight, as he allowed Goyat to have his way, despite the latter lacking accuracy.

Jake Donovan had similar sentiments. The boxing journalist’s comment read, “Would’ve been fine if this fight was 0 0-minute rounds.” Both boxers seemed impatient, as they failed to build on their successful punches and lead on from them. In addition, the lack of accuracy and the taunting dominated the fight.

Lastly, a comment again brought attention to Goyat pushing Nunes to the corner and gyrating behind him. The comment read, “That was so wrong.” This was done to excite the fans and add a flavor of flair to the fight. However, Goyat’s actions made up for his lack of power and a knockout finish.
