Plant will wait if Charlo needs a warm-up fight. Moreover, he stresses that their fight would be a big deal for fans and hopes it happens soon. However, tension exists between Plant and Charlo as cameras caught them in a heated moment a few months ago.

The fabled slap debacle of Jermall and ‘Sweethands’

The altercation involving a slap between Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo took place in Las Vegas. This occurred at the weigh-in event for the boxing match between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford.

Caleb Plant, who once held the IBF super-Middleweight title, slapped Jermall Charlo, the current WBC Middleweight champion. According to Plant, Charlo instigated the incident by tugging on his beard and hurling insults.

Plant discussed the event on Instagram Live. He said Charlo grabbed his face and yanked his beard. According to Plant, Charlo kept provoking him even after he warned him to stop. Plant felt he had to defend himself, especially with his wife there. He also said Charlo thought about pressing charges but hasn’t spoken publicly yet.
