Boxing is no longer confined to just professional fighters, even internet personalities, and other celebrities now participate in exhibition matches. British Youtuber Ali Eson Gib turned into a professional boxer in 2020 and lost his first fight through a knockout by Jake Paul. The Brit is now set for his second professional fight against Austin McBroom.

The two YouTubers are scheduled to fight on September 10th inside the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Apparently, there were supposed to square off inside the ring before, but it got canceled due to Gib being unable to clear the medical test.

However, now Gib and McBroom will appear at the main event produced by Social Gloves. It will be Gib’s second professional fight, while McBroom will be making his debut in professional boxing on the fight day.

Upcoming boxing match that might change fans’ perspective about celebrity boxers

American Youtuber Jake Paul has been the poster boy of celebrity boxing since he first tiptoed inside the ring in 2018. However, now ‘The Problem Child’ aims to get into bigger fights and earn a world title himself. He was supposed to fight Tommy Fury on August 6th at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. However, it was canceled, and Hasim Rahman Jr. came as a replacement, and even that fight got canceled.

Apparently, Paul now has a formidable opponent who could break Paul’s unbeatable 5-0 record. The 25-year-old will go up against Brazilian UFC legend Anderson Silva on October 29th. Although the former has an age advantage, Silva’s experience and fighting prowess might be a huge obstacle in front of Paul. Paul is often trolled for not fighting a “real fighter”. But if he defeats Silva, it might change how the world looks at him and celebrity boxers.
