Terence Crawford's stolen goods—Is British Airways to blame for this outrageous security lapse?

He visited the United Kingdom on a happy note to witness one of the biggest boxing events of the year. It didn’t take much time before Terence Crawford became the cynosure of everyone’s eyes. Clips of the new light middleweight champion interacting with English fans in the lead-up to the Anthony JoshuaDaniel Dubois showdown went quite viral. At Wembley, sitting in the row behind Tyson Fury, the Nebraskan champion drew a fresh stream of Kendrick Lamar jokes.

Ideally, like any human, Crawford might have wished the days of bliss lasted at least until he made it back home. But that was not the case. From what it appears, the former two-division undisputed champion had a nightmare of an air travel experience while going in Europe. A series of posts from ‘Bud’ Crawford reveals not only did the airline cause him to miss his original flight but also had to suffer the misfortune of losing baggage worth a fortune. Certainly not a birthday he would have wished for!

@British_Airways @traveloneworld We have a problem,” wrote Terence Crawford. Holding the airline responsible, he pointed out how their actions led to him missing his flight. The situation was further aggravated, as he could not find the merchandise he bought at the Louis Vuitton store at the airport’s international terminal among his baggage.

As much as he expressed his frustration, Terence Crawford, it appears, expected some accountability for what he went through. He confirmed holding all the requisite receipts to vouch for the purchases he made. Crawford said, “Tens of thousands of dollars of shoes, clothes, accessories, everything stolen right out of my bag. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 we got a real problem.

Among the stolen items he highlighted, there were a few clothes he purchased for his children. In his next post, the champion expected a prompt resolution. He dished out a significant amount for the travel. But in return, he endured a torrent of misfortune. Parting with so many of his belongings, ultimately he had only ‘one pair of pants and two shirts’.

The Nebraskan southpaw secured his fourth division title early last month. On a Riyadh Season card, he defeated Israil Madrimov for a light middleweight title. Let’s hope he bounces back soon from the harsh ordeal and all of his goods and luggage are well accounted for and handed over to him.

Who would you want Terence Crawford to fight next? Do you feel there’s still some chance left for the Canelo match?
