Teofimo Lopez will finally make his first ring appearance of 2021 on October 4 against his mandatory title challenger George Kambosos Jr. Their fight has faced several adversities, as it couldn’t come to life. Earlier, this fight had two dates in June and one date in August, but it couldn’t take place because of unforeseen circumstances. However, after much rigmarole and discussions, the bout is finally on and fans couldn’t ask for more.
The remaining four months of 2021 already have some noteworthy fights aligned. And Lopez vs Kambosos Jr.’s fight is one important tussle on the list. As this fight will open the way for more such electrifying encounters in the lightweight division, everyone wants to see the outcome of this contest on October 4.
Recently, Lopez was in an exclusive chat with ESPN Ringside, wherein he gave an honest prediction for his fight. He said, ”The fight is not going to last [long]. It won’t go past the first round.”

Lopez came into the limelight when he beat the stout Vasyl Lomachenko last year. This fight went down as one of the biggest upsets in the sport as ‘Take Over’ claimed a 12-round unanimous decision against ‘Hi-Tech’. With that, he also bagged all of Lomachenko’s lightweight straps, thus pinning himself as the unified king of the lightweights.

Now, the champ will transition all of his focus to defend his titles to eventually cement his legacy in the dynamic 135-pound division.

Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr. will both walk into this fight with an immaculate track record. Hence, somebody’s ‘O’ will undoubtedly go.

Furthermore, the American fighter has all the abilities in his bag to vanquish ‘Ferocious’ Kambosos Jr. However, his approach and conduct in this fight will be vital and it will be intriguing to see how he fares.
