Tyron Woodley bagged several believers to his side ahead of the boxing debut against Jake Paul when he was spotted training with ‘TBE’ Floyd Mayweather. Although Woodley failed to win the fight, he learned a lot from Mayweather that also benefitted him to an extent inside the ring.

The former UFC champion will re-match Jake Paul on December 18 and has a chance to avenge the loss. Meanwhile, he may not want to take things personally in any of the banters in the build-up to the fight. In August, Paul and Woodley shared a heated altercation that saw Woodley’s mother being dragged into the whole scene. ‘The Chosen One’ didn’t like it at all and was reportedly vexed.

His trainer, Gerald Tucker, was unable to handle Woodley, and that’s when Floyd Mayweather stepped in. Gerald Tucker sat down with FightHype and revealed he was unable to calm down Tyron Woodley after the heated press conference. That’s when Tucker called up Floyd Mayweather and requested him to help ‘T-Wood’ calm down.

Gerald Tucker said, “I told, so he said okay put me on the phone with him real quick. I got it and the reason I called Floyd because Floyd has been through so much inside the ring, outside the ring.”

He added, “Tyron and Floyd ended up getting on the phone. Tyron walked off you to know to where he left the whole. You know, so nobody could hear their conversation, but whatever Floyd said, as soon as Tyron came back, it was a whole different Tyron.”

Woodley came close to knocking out Paul in the fight. But following a full-length scrap, Paul earned a controversial split decision win. It was quite a setback in Woodley’s combat resume.

Following the win against Woodley, Paul was preparing for a showdown against ‘TNT’ Tommy Fury in Miami. It was Paul’s first take on a pro-boxer. But team Fury walked away after ‘TNT’ reportedly, contracted injuries in his camp. As the matchup went off, Woodley slid in to earn his re-match against ‘The Problem Child’.

Jake Paul now knows the kind of danger Woodley can pose. After getting cracked in round four of the first fight, Paul needs to be alert this time. That said, Tyron Woodley can earn an additional half a million if he can stop ‘The Problem Child’. This can drive ‘T-Wood’ to offer even more positive aggression in the ring.
