Jake Paul has got everyone talking. For the past few days, The Problem Child has constantly taunted Canelo Alvarez for backing out of their agreed fight at the last possible second. The Mexican superstar deceived the former YouTuber at the last minute to sign a four-fight contract with the Saudis.

The move indeed hurt Paul, who has been on a tirade since then and is ripping apart the unified super middleweight champion. As soon as Ring Magazine broke the news of Canelo’s new deal with the Riyadh Season, El Gallo took to his Instagram to declare himself as the new face of boxing. He even declared that “Canelo Alvarez ducked me,” before claiming that the Mexican legend has “no regard for the pride of the Mexican people who support him on US soil.” For him, this would have been “the biggest fight of 2025” and no matter what Saudis do now, they can’t replicate it.

A day after the infuriating post, Paul once again targeted Cinnamon and decided to “expose” the latter. In a video uploaded on his social media profiles, the 28-year-old claimed that the four-division champion “can be bought.” He further declared him as a “money-hungry squirrel chasing your next nut,” who doesn’t care about the sport and his fans.

“You call me a YouTuber, but you’ve never had a boxing match as big as mine. I promise you one thing, Canelo. Any fight that you do this year, mine will be bigger,” stated the former YouTuber. Given the fact that Alvarez will face Terence Crawford in September, it is a bold statement to make.

Furthermore, it looks like that with the last statement Jake Paul has punched above his weight this time. Floyd Mayweather‘s team decided to jump in and show reality to the former YouTuber.

On Monday, Floyd Mayweather’s uncle and trainer Jeff Mayweather gave his thoughts on the cancelation of Canelo vs. Jake Paul on his YouTube channel. During the conversation, ‘Jazzy’ firmly rejected the idea of Paul being the face of boxing. “When you mention Jake Paul you’re not mentioning him with everybody else that’s real fighters,” claimed the Michigan native.

‘Jazzy’ was also left wondering that despite being in the sport for five years now, “He’s still a prospect. I wanna know, he is still a prospect?” As the interviewer claimed with his accolades, Jake Paul should be a contender and should fight for the title. “That’s why he wanted to fight Canelo but Canelo backed out,” declared the interviewer.

Without missing a second, Jazzy asked the interviewer to “look up and see where his ranking is,” as it would bust that myth. The Grand Rapids native even ripped apart the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson bout. Despite the fight doing record-breaking numbers, Jazzy claimed, “the biggest fight in history. He fought as a senior citizen. Most of the fans think the fight was scripted,” dismissing it as the biggest fight.

It is becoming more evident that Canelo Alvarez signing the four-fight deal is a relief for the boxing fraternity. They clearly love the fact that the Mexican superstar will have some of the best fights of the year rather than a novelty fight, which despite its financial benefit, would have been a low point in his career.

Furthermore, it would be quite tough even for Jake Paul to find a suitable replacement for Cinnamon. Do you think The Problem Child will find a replacement? Let us know your thoughts down below.
