The feud between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney has been left unresolved as the latter moved up in weight to face off against Regis Prograis. He even relinquished all his titles in the lightweight category. This allowed Davis to be elevated as he is going to receive the vacant WBA super title. However, in firm words, Davis rejected the title as he claimed, “I don’t want that sh!t”. He boldly stated, “I want blood.”

Interestingly Haney has always criticized Davis, claiming that the latter is only focused on money. This led to Davis recently, firing back at him for the event’s ticket price. He even wrote a cryptic remark for the former undisputed champion before the fight. However, as Haney won the fight against Regis Prograis, he and Bill Haney took the chance to fire back at the WBA regular champion.

In the aftermath of the Prograis-Devin Haney fight, a candid conversation unfolded during the post-fight conference, shedding light on the anticipated showdown between Haney and Gervonta Davis. Haney claimed, “Tank don’t really wanna fight”. He claimed that if Davis wanted to fight he should build up hHaney’s fights instead of trying to knock him down. Moreover, he claimed that if Davis wanted the fight he should have staed  “It’s a big fight and it’s the best fight for boxing.”

Bill Haney soon chimed in pointing out, “You don’t have to down the other fighter to validate what you are and what you bring to the table.” Furthermore, he criticized, “Tank and his team have consistently lied to the people, they created this narrative that or ‘cause you charged people some astronomical money for a fight that you know that the guy’s gonna lose.” 

He even sent a message to the fans claiming, “Stop letting Tank and his team p*** on your head and tell you it’s rain with these insignificant fights.” He positioned Devin as a representative of true boxing culture, calling for a shift towards meaningful and competitive matchups.

Haney breaks Regis Prograis’ undefeated streak

In a stunning showcase of skill and finesse, Devin Haney delivered a remarkable performance against Regis Prograis. The bout, which marked Haney’s debut at 140 pounds, resulted in a dominating unanimous decision victory. With his win, he became a two-division champion.

Haney overpowered Prograis, with his superior skills, and appeared in control throughout the fight. He even stunned Prograis multiple times throughout the fights. Moreover, Prograis took so much punishment that it left even his corner and the referee worried. He appeared battered by the end of the contest.
