Two years ago, the sight of Mike Tyson being taken around in a wheelchair at the Miami airport sent shock waves across the boxing world. Afterward, the youngest heavyweight champion in the sport’s history disclosed his battle with sciatica. The medical problem often rendered him unable to walk. However, despite the setback, Mike Tyson forged ahead, making a gradual recovery. He continues with a fitness regimen that can give men half his age a run for their money.

Early today, he shared a post on Instagram where he was in discussion with Mehmet Cengiz Öz, or more commonly, Dr. Oz. The latter, a cardiothoracic surgeon at Columbia University, also dabbles as a television personality, well known for his show, ‘The Dr. Oz Show’. The two discussed one particular aspect of working out. After a gap of over three years, on July 20, Mike Tyson will once again walk into the ring to face 30-year-old junior Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Therefore, it is necessary that the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ remains in peak physical condition!

A few hours ago, Mike Tyson wrote about how some of the supplements work for him. Then he emphasized how supplements support him in maintaining his overall health and well-being. The conversation began with Dr. Oz checking how Tyson uses supplements to help him out during his day-to-day workout sessions. He said, “And you take a bunch of supplements. How do they affect how you work out?” The former heavyweight champion replied that, on the whole, the health supplements benefit him comprehensively. He felt exceptionally uplifted due to the effects of supplements on his well-being.

Total enhancements for me. My euphoric feeling. If I don’t have that euphoric, ordained God type of energy, that stuff is not helping me,” replied the former heavyweight champion.

A prime Mike Tyson’s fitness regimen was an institution in itself. It helped him pummel some of the biggest men he faced in the ring. It’s been over two decades since he retired from active boxing. However, Tyson still doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down.

Mike Tyson: Forever in Motion

A few years ago, while speaking with rapper T.I., he revealed a typical day for him. “I do two hours of cardio, I do the bike and the treadmill for an hour, then I do some light weights, 300, 250 reps. Then I start my day with the boxing thing; I go in there and hit the mitts; 30 minutes, 25 minutes, start getting in better condition,” said ‘Iron Mike. He added how his entire fitness program was broken into three parts, covering the whole day.

The upcoming fight with Jake Paul has received criticism from several corners. Few argue whether ‘The Problem Child’ will have an upper hand in terms of boxing skills. However, despite his boxing talent, what is most concerning is the age difference between the two belligerents.
