On December 13, Euphoria star Javon Walton made a triumphant return to boxing and defeated Erik Hanley in a 4-round super featherweight fight to get his second professional victory. The fight was crucial for ‘Wanna’, who was entering the ring after fighting a draw with Joshua Torres back in March.

The 18-year-old got the desired result. However, the fight was anything but pretty. It was a gritty fight where Walton had to tap into his reserves to get a majority decision. While the action was pretty ghastly and amazing, the moment that stole the show was after the fight when both fighters shared a wholesome moment and had a conversation on the canvas. Fans were wondering what the two prospects were talking about. Well, Hanley told us that himself.

Spiderman got a new villain

MVP shared a clip from the event featuring the post-fight moment between Hanley and Walton. The clip featured both boxers exhausted, on their knees, having a conversation with each other. Hanley leaned in towards the winner and told him something that brought out a chuckle from the 18-year-old.

It was not clear what the 31-year-old was saying to Javon Walton. However, Hanley himself commented on the post, revealing the conversation, and wrote, “I said if he ever plays Spiderman I gotta be Venom lol,” expressing his future desires.

Walton then got up and Hanley followed suit as the 18-year-old hugged the challenger before leaving the ring. While we never got what ‘Wanna’ replied, he took the banter like a champ. Even he commented on the video and wrote, “❤️🙏,” revealing how much he adored that conversation.

While it was nothing but banter between competitors, it opened up a serious conversation regarding Javon Walton’s future. The 18-year-old has claimed that he wants to focus on boxing, but as MCU has knocked on his door for a role, is he really going to be the next SpiderMan? Let’s find out.

What’s next for Javon Walton

In 2024, we saw Walton playing the role of ‘Warren Glowatski’ alongside Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone in the mini-series Under the Bridge. The series was critically acclaimed and fans loved the performance by ‘Wanna.’

Moving forward, the 18-year-old has confirmed that he will focus on boxing after his exits from The Umbrella Academy and Euphoria. As reported, Walton won’t be returning for the third installment of Euphoria as his character ‘Ashtray’ died in the season 2 finale. This means that for the first time in a long time, Javon Walton does not have a project.

However, that can easily change as Marvel Studios wants the Atlanta native, not as Spiderman, but to portray “Teen” in their upcoming show ‘Vision Quest.’ The MCU is going through a revamp currently as Robert Downey Jr. has returned. Now the studio wants to bring back White Vision, following his timeline from ‘WandaVision’ and they want Walton to be part of it. No matter how you look at it, it is an amazing opportunity.

On the boxing front, the youngster has impressed Jake Paul and he will keep booking him on the MVP prospects card and because of that, he won’t have to worry about finding fights. The partnership with the MVP is going to help him in development. The only question remaining is what does Javon Walton want to do because he has sensational options on both fronts?
