The April fight against Gervonta Davis reflects the allusion made to the ‘one more 135 fight.’ Garcia, who has fought only two matches under the 140lbs weight category in boxing, surely wants a shot against the likes of Martin and Lopez. However, before coming down to 135lbs for the Davis fight, Garcia will square off against Gesta, weighing under/at 140lbs in the ring.

Ryan Garcia cautions the 140lbs division of boxing following Teofimo Lopez’s recent win
With 2:49 on the clock in the second round, with the aid of a lead hook to the head, Sandor Martin dropped Teofimo Lopez on the ground. He could have used the left hand more effectively every time Lopez leaned in. Instead, he feared Lopez’s right hand and kept the left close to his chin, alarmed at Lopez’s abilities. Lopez overcame the knock down to take the fight on points.
