Love or loathe him, you will have to swallow hook, line, and sinker what Anthony Taylor has achieved in the last few months. But, for a Puerto Rican or a Colombian boxer undergoing pick-and-shovel training in the middle of nowhere gyms, to equal that and break the shackles of desolation, a lifetime may be insufficient.

There is a sequence to how Pretty Boy Taylor has come to the fore. His MMA record stands at seven wins against five losses, and in Boxing, he has two wins against three losses. At thirty-three, choices do dwindle in the professional circuits of combat sports.

So was that hubris clouding over Taylor when he charged on Conor McGregor’s pal Dillon Danis? The video clips of the incident are viewed repeatedly by millions. A seething with fury, Pretty Boy, calling out Danis.

Floyd Mayweather you next – Anthony Taylor

Fans have been going bombastic over and over again. Perked up, the Alameda native has now gone a step ahead to raise the wager, having it down on Floyd Mayweather openly through his Twitter handle.

Derision over his comments followed immediately.

Few fans were still in awe of what he did to Dillon Danis.

On the expected line, many would like to see a Taylor-Danis fight given their viral animosity.

Painting the town pretty

Anthony Taylor fought British television personality and reality show winner Jack Fincham on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather versus Deji Olatunji on Sunday, November 13th. Probably he wanted to ensure that Dubai remembers him forever. So Pretty Boy took care when the reporters heard him loudly during Floyd and Deji’s press conference.

True to himself, later, he dashed onto Jack Fincham before their eventual fight. Videos of the two wrestling in a public space are still fresh.

What followed was the icing on the cake of his stay in Dubai. During an open workout session, a visibly irritated Mayweather invited Taylor to jump in for free sparring. Initially accepting The Money’s challenge, the Pretty Boy even got his hands wrapped. But as it eventuated, he bailed out without testing gloves with the former champion, insisting on keeping himself out of injuries for the Fincham fight.

Coming on the heels of that brief stint at Dubai, at which door the latest provocation from Taylor draws up, time will tell. A rapt attention to setting his boxing record straight, fighting bouts against contenders who match him; just a good old-fashioned way of climbing up with all his wits about him, could be a better alternative. Till the time he was having fun, fans marshaled around. But does it have to go this far? Do let us know.
