Teofimo Lopez fears Devin Haney will get the win despite a commendable performance by Regis Prograis on December 9th. According to him, although Progrias possesses the title, he is being considered the underdog against Haney. Thus, in Teofimo’s opinion, Prograis must dominate Devin. On that note, ‘The Takeover’ publicly encouraged Regis to deliver a dirty fight.

Additionally, besides advising Prograis to learn from the misfortune that Vasyl Lomachenko suffered against Devin, Teofimo Lopez expressed his interest in facing Regis in the ring. Well, here is what he said.

In a recent tweet, Lopez claimed that professional boxing was “more scripted” than the NFL. In quite an agreement with this view of his, ‘The Takeover’ now shocked the boxing fans as he claimed Haney was already scripted to win against Regis. In his opinion, since the current motive is to metamorphose Devin into the next American dream, it is very likely that everyone in power will favor Haney over Regis. Likewise, Lopez advised Prograis to use “dirty tactics” and “bully” ‘The Dream’.

For Regis, if he is listening right now, you gotta bully him, bro. If his pillow hands are taking the shots or whatever, you’re gonna put your head down and let him hit you on top of the dome and break his hands. Smart dirty tactics are gonna win the fight with him. If he doesn’t do that, Haney is already scripted to win the fight,” Lopez told ESNEWS while clicking pictures with his fans.

In this context, to support his statement, he even referred to Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Devin Haney. Although a significant number of people felt Vasyl won the fight, the decision went to Devin. Likewise, Lopez added, “He’s the next dream. An American dream, the hope for America. And it’s not about hate. Look at what happened with Lomachenko.”

Following this statement of his, the former Unified Lightweight champion desired to face Regis Prograis one day.

Teofimo wants Regis Prograis

Speaking to ESNEWS, Lopez showed immense concern for Regis. Although Prograis is currently the WBC Super Lightweight champion, Teofimo reminded the former that he is the underdog in the Haney fight. “Regis, you’re the underdog despite you being the champion. So, don’t think you’re gonna do something because you’ve been in the game and been at the weight,” Lopez announced.
