Are we back in 2016—when Jake Paul and Logan Paul ruled the YouTube scene with their comedy sketches and concerning yet entertaining prank videos? The backdrop has evolved—gone are the American streets, now swapped for the cozy, beige seats of Jake Paul’s new $40 million private jet. Yet, their ridiculous energy that once made us squirm hasn’t faded.

On April 1, Maverick’s birthday, and a day the world revels in playful chaos, the younger Paul upheld the tradition, tricking his older brother, this time 35,000 feet above the ground. As usual, Logan Paul fell for it, stumbling into the gag like clockwork.

Jake Paul’s silliest prank goes up in the air

As the Paul household was traveling to shoot the latest episode of Impaulsive to discuss their new show ‘Paul American,’ The Problem Child saw his chance for mischief. He took to his Instagram story and pulled out a tin of his W brand “mouth deodorant” and offered it to Logan with a casual, It’s mouth deodorant.” Expectedly, the Maverick looked clueless, because what are mouth deodorants?

As the curiosity increased, the former WWE US champion reluctantly gave in and took it. Surprise, surprise, it turned out to be just mints. “Oh, they are mints. Good One,” Logan Paul chuckled, popping one into his mouth. Jake Paul’s fiance, Jutta Leerdam, puzzled at the scene, asked, “Are these mints? Can I have them?” unsure of what to make of it.

Gloating with pride, Jake Paul seized the moment, “You want mouth deodorants? April Fools. Haha. You are so silly,” being proud of his little triumph. On the other hand, Logan Paul burst out laughing, over the silly nature of Jake Paul’s prank.

While these behind-scenes interactions have made the Paul brothers a sensation, it turns out their latest gamble to show everything in their lives has miserably failed. The first verdict of their reality show “Paul American” has been out, and it doesn’t look good.

Paul American’s cold response

Both Logan and Jake Paul had high expectations from their new show. Before the premier of the first episode, they revealed how hard it was to adjust to the new reality. Still, Jake Paul told TMZ Sports that it would be a wild ride, with “all of the madness” for fans to enjoy.

However, that doesn’t look like the case. Early reviews aren’t kind. Variety described the show as “Loud and Obnoxious.” Vulture said it barely scratches the surface of their lives, something the duo promised extensively during promotions. Worst of all, some critics have even branded it dull.” For the Pauls, that’s got to sting. They’ll take any label but boring.
