Just when the boxing world thought that his career was fading into oblivion, the announcement came: Andy Ruiz Jr. is making a comeback. It’s been nearly two years since the fans saw the ‘Destroyer’s face. Come August 3, and he will enter the ring for a dance with Jarrell Miller. The duo will clash on the heavy-duty Terence Crawford–Israil Madrimov card on August 3.
To ensure his entry at the media workout is nothing short of spectacular, the former unified heavyweight champion arrived in ‘Tank’. The sight of the boxer arriving in the powerful SUV revved up fans who flocked to comment as he shared the inspiration of buying such a powerful vehicle. The Ruiz Jr.-Miller clash takes place at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium. Aside from the Crawford-Madrimov fight, the Riyadh Season show will feature three other title fights.

A shell-shocked message from Fight Hub TV read, “@andy_destroyer13 pulls up in a TANK for his media workout in Los Angeles! SHEEESH“. The channel had uploaded footage on YouTube as well. It shows the vehicle with ‘AR’, presumably for ‘Andy Ruiz’, emblazoned on the front, arriving at the venue. The reports met the former champion once he came out.
“Damn Andy, you have a a Tank?” a reporter asked. Then, as Ruiz Jr. greeted them one by one, another asked how much he shelled out for the gas-guzzler. “You know what’s funny is because Tank had one, so um, it made me want to get one….yeah I think he pulled up to one of his fights, right one of those,” replied the ‘Destroyer’.
Later, he invited the reporters to have a look inside. The seats were marked with ‘AR’, and the interior was a world of red, from the upholstery to other features. When a reporter inquired how fast the ‘Tank’ went, Ruiz Jr.’s brother replied, “Not so fast, heavy a** car.” Clearly, the reporters were completely taken in by the plush interiors, which had Andy Ruiz Jr. written all over.
Go ‘Tank’ing Champ, but don’t forget the chips

Needless to say, it was the Gervonta Davis inspiration that became the theme song of most fans. But then a few probably assumed that Andy Ruiz Jr. might have splurged a hefty amount on the expensive model. So they appeared worried about his finances. Let’s check out what a few of them had to say.
This fan had nothing but admiration for Any Ruiz Jr. for his modest demeanor. They appreciated the former champion’s straightforward approach as he explained the reason for buying the vehicle. “Humble cool dude. He kept it real and said tank made him want to get it. Respect,” the fan said. Then the kind of influence ‘Tank’ Davis has in the boxing community seemingly blew away the next fan. They said, “Tank motivate everyone in boxing; he is the face of BOXING.”
The following fan sounded off a cautionary bell. They appeared worried that Ruiz Jr. might be on a spending spree following the big payday he received from the Anthony Joshua fight: “He really stretching that Joshua money.” So they told the heavyweight boxer to take a step back on his spending. “Slow down, champ,” they said.

They emphasized his impact and quipped how the Baltimorean’s style has become so contagious that even heavyweight boxers have started following it. “Tank even got the heavyweights stealing sauce. Face of boxing,” the fan said.

Last year, talks of a fight with Deontay Wilder emerged. But the fight collapsed as neither side could reportedly agree on the purse. Fans still remember the ‘Destroyer’ for the win he scored against Anthony Joshua, then a unified champion. But since the time the British Olympic gold medalist paid back in the same coin, the journey has been unsteady for the Imperial, California-born fighter. Fans hope he finally manages to break the shackles and chart a new course in his career for good.
