Newly crowned lightweight king Teofimo Lopez has sarcastically reacted to Vasyl Lomachenko’s claims. The American beat Lomachenko via unanimous decision back in October. It was a scorecard that caused a lot of controversy, and Lomachenko finally had his say on the matter. However, unlike his usual self, he claimed that they bribed the judges to score in favor of Teofimo Lopez.
Here’s how ‘The Takeover’ responded to these claims.
He took to Twitter to respond, but had no intention of seriously shutting down the accusations. Instead, he thanked the judges sarcastically for their role in his victory. He wrote, “Shoutout to the Judges for their service!”

Thus showing that he isn’t bothered by the Ukrainian’s comments about the judges.

Lopez has been very vocal about his victory and believes he won the fight regardless of the scorecard. This is also the opinion that most boxing fans will share. Though the scorecard was not a fair reflection of the fight, Lopez still did enough to get the victory. So him reacting in this way is completely justified, as he has nothing to prove.

What did Vasyl Lomachenko say about his loss to Teofimo Lopez?
The Ukrainian broke his
silence on the decision when he spoke on his YouTube channel. He said, “I took one round from the first half of the fight and five rounds from the second half–from round seven to round 11. We’ve got six each, which is a draw.”ADVERTISEMENT

He then claimed, “What does it say? It’s not about bias, it’s about being bribed. There was nothing about honest judging. I don’t know whose game it was. I do think it was somebody’s game.”
These are serious allegations from the Ukrainian. And what makes it even more bizarre is that both fighters are represented by the same promotion. It is one of those comments where, just like Lopez, everyone will just ignore. What did you make of Lomachenko’s comments on Teofimo Lopez’s victory?
