‘Should Not Be Mentioned in the Same Sentence…’: Fans Erupt at Tyson Fury as Bob Arum Compares Him to Muhammad Ali

British boxing superstar Tyson Fury is one of the finest boxers competing today. Since making his professional boxing debut, the 6’9″ tall fighter has dominated the heavyweight division. But every great heavyweight boxer is compared to Muhammad Ali, known as ‘The Greatest’. Fans are up in arms about the recent Ali and Fury comparison, which has gone viral.

Tyson Fury’s promoter Bob Arum is a seasoned businessman in the sport. He also promoted Muhammad Ali in the past. While talking about Fury’s brilliance, the veteran promoter stated, “Fury is highly intelligent, a lot of fun, and you don’t have to really bust your hump promoting him, because he promotes himself. I mean he’s the guy that runs his ship, he’s like Ali.”

Arum went on to say that he had no trouble promoting Ali because Ali did it himself. He said that Ali taught him many things about promoting. “Tyson Fury is cut from that cloth,” Arum concluded.    

Fans react to Tyson Fury being compared to Muhammad Ali  

‘The Gypsy King’ is among the most talked about boxers today. Fans, however, think it would be unfair to compare him to the ‘Louisville Lip’. One fan said, “I like Fury, and Bob Arum is a legend, but the former is not fit to lace Ali’s boots, and the latter is deluded” 

Another fan said, “Needs to lay off the bong and the shrooms.” 

A boxing enthusiast asked, “Does Bob actually know where he is?” 

Someone trolled Arum and stated, “Next he’ll be promoting Jake Paul’s energy drink” 

Another boxing fan wrote, “Should not be mentioned in the same sentence what a joke” 

Someone wrote, “Not Ali the boxer, he is clearly referring to someone else.” 

A boxing aficionado mentioned, “He’s a clown Ali never ducked fights like Tyson, Tyson is good at ducking and diving fights.”
