Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Aaron Chalmers are only a few moments away from squaring off against one another in the ring at the O2 Arena in London. While Chalmers will encounter the second boxing match of his life, Mayweather will record his sixth exhibition fight since retiring from professional boxing in 2017. At the official weigh-in for Mayweather vs. Chalmers, in the absence of ‘Money’, Chalmers spoke about having “no intimidation” on his behalf ahead of February 25th. In addition, he pitied Mayweather’s absence at the weigh-in and stated, “I’m just excited to get in there and do the best performance that I possibly can and then we’ll see if I follow this because he doesn’t seem to be around. “
While Chalmers acknowledged the “great jab” that Mayweather got in boxing, he clearly expressed what he wouldn’t allow Mayweather to impose on him in the ring. “He’s [Mayweather] got a great jab. There are loads of things that I want to do and I’ve watched his last few fights. One thing I’m not going to let him do is bully me around the ring,” said Chalmers. Besides him, boxing fans expressed disappointment as Mayweather missed the official weigh-in of his own upcoming fight.
