WBC silver lightweight champion Ryan Garcia is tentatively set to defend his title against Luke Campbell by the end of this year. While the lightweight thriller has been on the cards for months, it is yet to receive a final date and venue.

Promoters are working out to finalize the event in November. That said, Ryan Garcia is ready for action, and he is eagerly waiting for the official date. He has already undergone a full training camp with his team, and his social media posts reveal that he is ready to hunt for a knockout.

Garcia has always been an alluring persona inside and outside the ring. Apart from being a world champion boxer, he is also a social media sensation. Thus, he turned to the internet once again and called out the promoters to provide him the final date.

Ryan Garcia is ready to go, but promoters are not

Garcia has recently posted a message on his official Instagram, claiming that he just wants to be inside the boxing ring. It has been over six months since Garcia has been in a professional fight. However, COVID-19 is also to be blamed for it. If not for the pandemic, Garcia and Campbell would have fought by now.

Meanwhile, the sports community is back on track with eased out lockdowns and several boxing events have already taken place behind closed doors. Yet Garcia vs Campbell is still not official.

Turning to social media, the American boxer wrote, “Sorry I [have] been [inactive]. I’m really just trying to get a fight date!  I am begging for one and working on this like no [tomorrow]. I just want to be in the ring.

Ryan Garcia posted a similar message on Twitter.

Thus, it is safe to believe that we will see Ryan Garcia at his best when he fights “Cool Hand” Campbell. However, one can never write off Luke Campbell from a boxing matchup. Boasting a pro record of 20-3, he is one of the best lightweights at this point. He has all the chances of pulling off an upset.
