Things have gone from bad to worse for Ryan Garcia! Just the other day, sources revealed the Victorville native has produced reports suggesting that tests have discovered two supplements that were responsible for his positive doping test results for ostarine during the Devin Haney fight. It seemingly put him in a somewhat of a great spot against a long-term suspension from the sport. But!

Just moments earlier, the 25-year-old puncher hopped on X to convey some devastating news involving his mother, Lisa Garcia. As unfortunate as it is, ‘KingRy’ seems to have revealed that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer. However, he had more to say, as he made a desperate plea to his followers amid skepticism from fans.

Despite promising to take a break from social media, Garcia turned to X to share a clip of himself sitting on the couch with a gloomy look on his face. Meanwhile, the caption of the X post conveyed the reason behind Garcia’s sadness, reading, “Please send prayers to my mom. She has cancer And they say she can go any day.” A few seconds later, looking distraught, he signals to the cameraman to cut it off, after which the clip ends.

It’s worth mentioning that Garcia has been criticized for orchestrating bizarre tweets in the past, but the reality behind his latest claim remains unknown at this point. Nevertheless, minutes later, Ryan Garcia hopped on the platform again, writing, “If my mom dies I’m going with her.” Notably, Garcia’s tweets in the lead-up to his fight against Devin Haney had convinced many that he was suffering from some mental health issues. But this time, the tweets from Garcia were met with heavy skepticism from users on X.

As Garcia is in the middle of his PED controversy, many think this is nothing more than one of his antics on the platform. So, in a subsequent X post, Garcia clarified, while angrily stating, “I hate all of you, whatever you f**king come up with against me Concerning my MOTHER… there will be a place in hell for you.”

While Garcia is adamant about his mother’s condition, this isn’t the first time Lisa Garcia has been roped into the spotlight because of him.

Lisa Garcia ends up with tears during livestream

Just last month, Vasyl Lomachenko went toe-to-toe against George Kambosos Jr in Australia! But what’s that got to do with Ryan Garcia? Well, as Lomachenko absolutely dominated the Aussie, Garcia saw it fit to insult Kambosos Jr online, while also making derogatory comments about his wife. Of course, Kambosos hit back with nasty words of his own!

However, it was a tweet from promoter Lou DiBella that seems to have been a little too much for Lisa Garcia. In a tweet reacting to Garcia’s attacks at Kambosos Jr on Mother’s Day, DiBella wrote, “Nice Mother’s Day tweet, Ryan, and how Christian on a Sunday… This isn’t the Ryan I knew and was a fan of. He was a decent kid, not a lying, antagonizing, cheating, derelict piece of influencer s**t.”

During an Instagram live session, Lisa Garcia addressed the X post from DiBella, saying, “What Lou DiBella wrote really hit my heart. And Lou, you’re absolutely right, this isn’t Ryan.” However, she defended her son, claiming boxing can be an unforgiving place as she broke into tears. Nevertheless, Lisa Garcia also responded to DiBella’s allegation about Garcia, saying, “he is not a cheater.”

It’s indeed devastating and unfortunate if Ryan Garcia’s posts turn out to be true, but his history on the platform prevents people from taking the boxer seriously, at least until more updates emerge. What do you think? Is Ryan Garcia telling the truth?
