Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol squared off inside the boxing ring in September. Having not lost since his fight against Floyd Mayweather in 2013, the Mexican was strutting his way to the top of the sport. But he was outclassed by a competent and strong Bivol.

Former welterweight champion Shawn Porter shed some light on the subject and said, “Based on this fight with Triple G, I don’t think he beats Bivol in the rematch. Before this fight, I thought Canelo would come back in the ring and be a better version of himself and have more variety in the rematch with Bivol, and I thought he’d beat Bivol in the rematch.”

Fans have been dubious about a rematch between Alvarez and Bivol ever since the news first surfaced.
