In Sincity’s Michelob Ultra Arena, Abdullah Mason left the crowd in awe with a second-round knockout victory over Benjamin Gurment. Displaying a mix of skill and power, Mason notched his 12th win, maintaining a perfect record with 10 knockouts. The remarkable performance unfolded on the Teofimo Lopez–Jamaine Ortiz undercard.
The 19-year-old boxing sensation from Cleveland has made waves as he caught the attention of two big names in the sport. One is his former sparring partner, Shakur Stevenson, and the other is none other than Ryan Garcia. They seemed to have acknowledged the presence of Mason after his significant victory against his opponent Gurment.

The defining moment of the fight came barely a minute into the second round when Mason stunned Gurment with a powerful left hand, propelling him into a corner. Gurment, off-balance and using the ropes for support, experienced the first knockdown. Undeterred, Gurment continued, but Mason’s relentless assault continued. Another big overhand left to the side of Gurment’s head sent him down to the canvas, never to recover again.
At 1:29 in the second round, referee Dock stepped in to wave off the fight, sealing Mason’s impressive triumph. After watching this fight, Ryan Garcia went on the X app and stated that Mason might as well be the new face of boxing.
