The defining moment of the fight came barely a minute into the second round when Mason stunned Gurment with a powerful left hand, propelling him into a corner. Gurment, off-balance and using the ropes for support, experienced the first knockdown. Undeterred, Gurment continued, but Mason’s relentless assault continued. Another big overhand left to the side of Gurment’s head sent him down to the canvas, never to recover again.

At 1:29 in the second round, referee Dock stepped in to wave off the fight, sealing Mason’s impressive triumph. After watching this fight, Ryan Garcia went on the X app and stated that Mason might as well be the new face of boxing.

Furthermore, Shakur Stevenson posted numerous posts on X talking about Mason in quite high regard. At first, he stated that the KO punch was quite clean and precise.

Furthermore, he also mentioned that even his jab was powerful.

In the same vein, Stevenson reminded everybody how he has always vouched for the young talent. He truly believes he’s the future face of the boxing.

Furthermore, ‘Sugar’ replied to a fan where he stated that Mason was already sparring 6-8 rounds of 4 minutes before he even turned pro.

He replied to another fan who has asked whether Mason is really that good of a fighter or not.
