Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather defeated Mikuru Asakura of Japan in September with a technical knockout. But he didn’t take long to herald his upcoming conflict with a different foe. He recently engaged in an eight-round exhibition fight with British YouTuber Deji. Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul was also there at the event, but something strange occurred that caused quite a stir online.

Floyd Mayweather squared off against Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Jake Paul was waiting to witness the fight as he was seated ringside. However, Mayweather allegedly refused to enter the ring until Paul got up from his chair. Mayweather is one of the fighters who has been called out and trolled by ‘The Problem Child’ in the past.

Apparently, ‘Money’ still remembers the verbal jabs Paul threw at him, and he didn’t want him to be seated ringside while he fights. Following this, Paul took to Twitter to share his opinion about it.

Jake Paul takes to social media to slam Floyd Mayweather

Paul shared on Instagram about Mayweather’s disagreement with him and what transpired between him and KSI. Paul wrote, “Floyd wouldn’t fight unless I left. Shallow ego. And KSI refused to be seated near me. Didn’t see him The whole event. Hide and go seek.”

‘Money’ is one of the few A-list boxers who actively participate in exhibition contests. Since he declared his retirement from professional boxing in 2017, he has participated in five exhibition matches. Some fans assume that Mayweather is going broke, and that he does exhibition bouts to pay his taxes.

Paul took to Twitter to share his opinion on the subject and said, “Floyd Mayweather is ruining the sport of boxing to pay his unpaid taxes.”

What is next for Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul?

There has recently been conjecture that Paul would face controversial internet personality and former kickboxer Andrew Tate in his next fight. The fact that the two met face-to-face in Dubai certainly suggested a potential fight. They also attended the Mayweather vs. Deji bout, where they engaged in another confrontation that seemed to be moving toward their fight.
