Boxing fanatics can rejoice as the long-awaited showdown between light heavyweight champions Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol is finally happening. Beterbiev, a force of nature with a perfect record, reigns supreme with the WBC, IBF, and WBO titles. The Canadian-based Russian puncher is known for his devastating knockout power, leaving a trail of fallen foes in his wake.
Standing in his way is the undefeated WBA champion Dmitry Bivol. A master technician with a more tactical approach, Bivol frustrates opponents with his slick footwork and precise counter-punching. For this reason, fellow lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson believes Dmitry Bivol will come forth victorious against the knockout master.

A few hours ago, Shakur Stevenson made a post where he praised heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk for his skills. So, he declared that he’d been recently watching Usyk’s 2017 fight against Michael Hunter, where he was surprised by the sheer mastery of the Ukrainian fighter. So much so that Stevenson wrote, “Usyk is so cold this dude is going be hard to beat.”
Well, this post intrigued a fan about Stevenson’s thoughts on the much-anticipated fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Well, this was again a no-brainer for ‘Sugar’, and he chose a fighter that resembled his own style.
He wrote, “I got Bivol but it’s very hard for him to win.” Even though he’d always leaned towards a defensive style, this time he couldn’t overlook Beterbiev’s KO power.

Stevenson knows that the outcome of this fight could be anything, and there’s no stronger side in this matchup. However, the former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. stated that it won’t be a “50-50” matchup, and like Stevenson, he also believes Bivol has some edge over Beterbiev.

The upcoming light heavyweight clash between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol has captured the imagination of boxing fans, and legendary fighter Roy Jones Jr. has offered his prediction on the hotly anticipated bout. Both fighters enter the ring undefeated, but Jones Jr. believes the 33-year-old might hold a slight advantage over the 38-year-old. “Not 50-50,” Jones declared, acknowledging the close matchup many fans anticipate. Jones sees Beterbiev’s age as a potential factor.
“Beterbiev has been down,” he stated, implying that the older fighter might be more susceptible to being knocked down. In contrast, Bivol has a clean record of never being knocked down in his professional career. Despite favoring Bivol, Jones Jr. acknowledges Beterbiev’s fighting spirit. “I’m not saying it’s 50-50,” he clarifies, leaving the door open for an upset. Jones Jr. also recognizes that Bivol won’t have an easy path to victory.
