Shakur Stevenson seems to have finally found an opponent and is trying to establish dominance over him. Earlier this month, Floyd Schofield turned to social media to call out ‘Sugar’ Stevenson, stating, “Wasn’t your last opponent 16-2? I am 16-0 ranked #4 in WBA, so I do hold weight. Just say [you are] scared.”
Seeing the post, Stevenson reminded Schofield of his last opponent and highlighted that he had never beaten an undefeated fighter. Stevenson suggested Schofield should fight 29-0 William Zepeda, and then they could talk. Following the response, both parties agreed to the deal. However, when this conversation was shared on Instagram today, a user commented on the post, claiming to be an eyewitness to their prior sparring session. So, Stevenson quickly highlighted the comment.

Turning to his Instagram story, Shakur Stevenson shared a screen grab of the comment from the user. The comment read, “I [have] seen the sparring with my own eyes. Floyd couldn’t take the heat, and his daddy took him out of the kitchen.” Stevenson captioned the screenshot with, “All facts.” However, this isn’t the only instance when Schofield has called out Stevenson!

In a previous post on Instagram, Schofield wrote, “[Shakur Stevenson] what’s wrong with your brother [Keyshawn Davis]? He would be lightweight for me. I would destroy your brother. Why go after a pawn if you can conquer the kings of the division?” He also wrote, “You say no one will fight you. I challenge you to a fight at the end of the year.” While Schofield badly wants Shakur, someone close to Shakur is open to fighting him!

Keyshawn Davis is coming off a dominant win over Jose Pedraza in the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Jamaine Ortiz on 8 February. And he is already gearing up for his next fight. While appearing in a recent interview with Fight Hype, Davis crossed paths with Oscar De La Hoya. And they nearly confirmed a fight right then and there.

Meeting De La Hoya, Davis directly questioned him whether he was willing to make the fight between him and Schofield happen. In response, Oscar claimed, “It’s great, yeah!” They even discussed when the fight might unfold. “Should be this year!” [or by] the end of the year,” said De La Hoya.
