Carlos Adames, the man who is currently climbing up the ladder is becoming a living nightmare for Middleweight boxers around the world. The Dominican native won the vacant WBC interim Middleweight title in October last year and has achieved multiple feats after turning pro. But before his pro debut back in 2014 and 2015, Adames was representing his homeland, Dominican Republic, in the World Series of Boxing. And he managed to get a splendid record of 4-2 under his name. Well, his success story has only seen an exponential curve.

The 7th best active Middleweight, according to The Ring Magazine, has a ferocious record of 17 knockouts in 22 wins out of the total of 23 bouts, he participated in. Most of his Knockouts are clip-worthy, as they perfectly accumulate the essence of boxing as a sport. And one such knockout was recently highlighted by the official Twitter handle of Premier Boxing Champions.

Adames has tried to stay consistent in the sport, his last 5 fights have been stretched over the period of three years, eleven months, and 23 days. So, it’s safe to say, after every 9 months and 17 days, the fans can expect a Carlos Adames fight. In the past 5 fights, Adames has managed to defeat 4 of his opponents, 2 by brutal KOs, and went the distance with the other 2. Well, he has been defeated only once in his professional career by a unanimous decision against Patrick Teixeira on November 30th, 2019.

But after that loss, he made a tremendous comeback as he was matched up against ‘Laberinto’, Alexis Salazar Flores. Adames brought 100% of his 73.91 knockout percentage for that fight. As he won the bout in just three rounds by overpowering his opponent with a flurry of blows, Salazar tried to clench him. The entire State Farm Arena was on his feet as the boxing fans couldn’t stop roaring.

Now, it has been more than 8 months since the fans have seen Adames making his way inside the boxing ring. But reportedly Adames is planning to step foot on the canvas this Saturday, June 24th. This would be his first fight of this year and fans are ready to witness the knockout prowess of the orthodox fighter.

With every fight, Adames is crawling closer to a world title shot, as he’s already proved his might after putting down the top fighter in the division, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, the former rival of Gennady Golovkin, back in December 2021. Now he will defend his WBC interim Middleweight title against Julian Williams on June 24th, 2023 at The Armory, in Minneapolis.

The enthralling contest has a lot of eyes dug into it, as this will be defining bout in Adames’ legacy. He is looking forward to putting up a great show for the fans and winning over Williams. Well, Williams is also coming off after a spellbinding victory over Rolando Mansilla at The Armory by a unanimous decision.
