They are modern-day gladiators, clad in armor, fighting for glory and putting on a show for the crowd. But instead of swords and shields, they don boxing gloves. Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor will again walk out to the center of the stage and fight for the super lightweight gold. But before that happens, the Puerto Rican fighter has some words for the champion.
Serrano, 36, will challenge Taylor, 38, for all the marbles at 140 as they fight it out on November 15 at AT&T Arena in Arlington. They both are getting paid over $6 million each, making it one of the biggest fights in women’s boxing history. Such occasions call for better action and big step-ups, and that’s what Serrano is asking of the Irish champion.

‘The Real Deal’ has asked the super lightweight champion to come out and exchange blows in the ring. But will Taylor, at 23-1, respond in the way Serrano expects her to? There are some questions surrounding Taylor that might affect it, including concerns about her growing age and ring rust.
