Former 147 lb champion Keith Thurman is desperate to fight Terence Crawford on his return to action.
After a shocking defeat against Pac-Man, Thurman took a halt of more than a year. However, he is ready to come back with a blockbuster event. That said, Crawford won’t be an easy rival to overcome. ‘The Hunter’ is still undefeated and is one of the looming prodigies of the modern era. A matchup between Thurman and Crawford might produce intense fireworks.
‘One Time’ Thurman connected with Brian Custer to discuss several scenarios surrounding his boxing career. Although there are two options in front of him in Crawford and Errol Spence Jr., Thurman prefers to fight the former. Well, it also seems like a bad-blood matchup.

Keith Thurman prefers Crawford over Errol Spence Jr.
“I want Crawford more, man. He got under my skin. This Crawford dude, send me a contract, bro! Tell ESPN to send some zeros my way. They know an appropriate, respectful number, you know what I’m saying and then I sign on the dotted line, baby,” said Thurman.
Thurman also hinted at staging his return by the end of this year, and he has some special plans for Christmas. The former world champion clearly stated that he is ready to fight Crawford before Christmas, all he needs is the contract.
However, the final call has to be granted by ‘Hunter.’ Taking note to it, Thurman also belittled Crawford’s impact in the welterweight division.
“You never got respect in the game anyway at 147. You haven’t pushed the buttons at 147. You ain’t touch Shawn Porter, you ain’t touch Thurman, you ain’t touch Garcia, you ain’t touch Spence. I’m gonna run outta fingers! I can name all my opponents you ain’t touch. I’m gonna run outta fingers, boy.”
Errol Spence Jr. is not off the charts
After Crawford, Thurman can also lock horns with Errol Spence Jr. The 31-year-old is optimistic about the matchup. Since he and Errol are managed by the same entity, Thurman believes that it is just a matter of time until they face-off.

“Errol, that’s a timeline issue. You know, I know how the game works. We got the same manager. That’s a timeline issue… That’s a calendar issue. We kinda gotta work close together to make that happen,” said the former champ.
