WBO female middleweight champion Savannah Marshall has worked with several promoters in her career so far. Although she is just over four years into the professional chain, the undefeated star has already turned heads with her action. She is on an impeccable surge in the sport and can soon land up in a high-voltage unification clash with Claressa Shields.

‘Silent Assassin’ Marshall can expect that matchup to happen somewhere in 2022. While several contractual and promotional strategies are on the line, Marshall is not new to those things. The Briton has also been with Floyd Mayweather’s TMT, and seeing all of it in such a short span, clearly turns her into an A-listed boxing veteran. In a chat with Sky Sports Boxing, Marshall detailed how she landed up in Mayweather’s stable.

11-0 as a professional, Marshall has the potential to become a starfighter. She shares her existing record with Claressa Shields, who is also 11-0 in her career. However, Marshall has earned most of her wins via stoppage and currently holds a record of 9 KOs. On the contrary, Shields has 2 stoppages under her name. While female boxing looks to lack A-listed Knockout artists, Marshall is clearly raking up the stakes and doing a brilliant job for female combat.

Can we see Savannah Marshall land up against big names in 2022?

Currently, on an eight-fight KO streak, Marshall ended 2021 with 2 wins under her name. Besides, she has defended her middleweight strap twice and is clearly deserving of a unification fight. As the lightweight division can see two of their best in Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano lock horns, the middleweight division deserves a bout between Marshall and Shields.
