For weeks, fans have been playing a guessing game about the blockbuster card on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Well, wonder no more because Turki Alalshikh—aka the savior of boxing—just dropped the full lineup, and it’s an absolute knockout! Headlining the show? None other than Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol in a clash of the Titans.
The pair last fought in October, producing an action-packed back and forth, which ended in a somewhat controversial majority decision win for Beterbiev. However, they will duke it out again early next year to put an end to the debate, alongside what seems to be a stacked card. And guess what? Fans are already fawning over the event.

Who is fighting on the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol II card?
According to the social media post from the Saudi Royal, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will vie for the undisputed status in the main event of the night. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois returns to the ring against Joseph Parker after recently causing a huge upset by defeating former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Also on the card, WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson will lock horns with rising star Floyd Schofield Jr. The title match comes after William Zepeda pulled out of the mandatory fight against Stevenson due to a forearm injury in his last outing. Regardless, WBC No.1 contender Hamzah Sheeraz will look to steal the middleweight title from Carlos Adames.

Not to forget, interim WBC super welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. will defend his title against No. 3 ranked by WBC Israil Madrimov. Previously, IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis was being touted as Ortiz’s next opponent, but that fight fell apart due to contract issues. Regardless, heavyweights Zhilei Zhang and Agit Kabayel will fight for the interim WBC title.
Last but not least, Englishman Callum Smith will go toe-to-toe with interim WBC light heavyweight champion Joshua Buatsi. Needless to say, this is one of the most stacked cards in recent history, which fans seem to appreciate.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh was named the savior of boxing
Stacking a card with this many heavy hitters isn’t exactly a walk in the park, but Turki Alalshikh has worked his magic yet again. The man knows how to deliver a spectacle! Reacting to the announcement, one user expressed respect for the Saudi Royal. “Possibly the greatest all-around boxing card in the history of the sport. Much respect,” the user wrote. Alalshikh has been putting together some of the biggest events since the tail end of 2023, and it appears he keeps upping himself.
Meanwhile, this user speculated about how much money it might have taken to bring all these names together. “The dough needed to make this card happen must be absurd [laughing emoji],” the user wrote. While the purse for all the fighters is currently unclear, with time that should come to light.

Another user was counting their blessings because Alalshikh was a boxing fan. “Absolutely incredible. Thank god you’re a boxing fan, the fights you’re delivering for the sport so consistently are incredible,” the user wrote. However, while Alalshikh has claimed to be a boxing fan, the Saudis have made investments in other sports as well.

Even Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Schofield Jr.’s promoter, chimed in, claiming the card makes boxing great again. “We are making boxing great again [fire emoji],” Oscar wrote. In a power move announced back in July, Oscar’s Golden Boy Promotions teamed up with Riyadh Season to deliver a series of unforgettable fights. And judging by this lineup, they’re making good on that promise.

Amid all this, one user raised an interesting question. “What if Madrimov loses to Bohachuk? [guessing emoji],” the user asked. Israel Madrimov and Serhii Bohachuk have a fight lined up on 21st December on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch. You see, Ortiz was struggling to nail down an opponent after the Ennis fight fell apart. So, whether Madrimov wins or loses, it will be a great matchup.
That being said, His Excellency has done it again! The man is practically the Santa Claus of boxing, delivering one gift after another. First, he gave us the undisputed heavyweight champion, then the undisputed light heavyweight champion, and now he’s lined up another phenomenal night of boxing. So, what do you think about this star-studded card?
