Devin Haney has been trying every trick up his sleeves to get Gervonta Davis inside the ring with him. For that, he has tried to bait him, lure him with offers, and even periodically insult him. Even Devin’s father has been trying hard to coerce Tank into taking the fight. However, Davis is playing hard to get. He’s been a bit vague on the internet and has even been deleting his tweets that mention Haney directly. However, during a conversation about the potential fight, The Dream made a surprising statement.
Haney even brought in Ryan Garcia while baring his thoughts on the matter in the hope that at least ‘Tank’ will try to lock the fight for a tentative date. But Davis doesn’t seem to be interested in finalizing the date just yet. So, Haney might have to think about something else.

In an interview with AKHi TV, Devin Haney was asked what it would take to lure in Gervonta Davis for a fight. Davis revealed how he was all set to raise his gloves against the Lightweight boxer while Davis seemed to be ducking him. Haney isn’t even concerned with the money for this fight, he’s more focused on retaining his legacy as the best.
Haney said, “Man listen give me the same deal he gave Ryan, and we’ve got a fight.” This even caught the reporter by surprise and he tried to confirm Haney’s claim again. Haney reiterated his stance, saying, “Same offer Ryan Garcia got same offer I’ll take.” Well, this was something Haney hadn’t said before, but as it turns out, if this is what’ll take to get a response from Davis, he doesn’t have a problem with it.
The Dream also expressed his interest in taking on Davis by posting an unofficial poster for the potential fight. Once the poster went online, a triggered Davis quickly responded.

On his Instagram, Devin Haney posted an image where both boxers can be seen throwing punches at each other inside a ring. This was photoshopped and it was something that even Ryan Garcia did before his fight against Gervonta Davis. In the caption, the WBC super lightweight champion wrote, “2024 InshaAllah.”

Well, this triggered ‘Tank’ and he instantly put out a reply. He wrote, “You know that happen to the last n** that posted some shit like this.” This was a direct warning from Davis to stop poking him. But Haney doesn’t seem to want to stop. Perhaps this is his way of bringing Tank to the negotiating table. As for the fans, this seems to be only getting more exciting by the minute.
