Despite the occasional antics on social media, Ryan Garcia‘s enduring appreciation for splendor and pageantry never ceases to captivate. Some big paydays, especially the Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid) fight, and global brand endorsements and sponsorships have ensured the boxer, who is just 25 years old, an uber-luxurious lifestyle that many fighters can only dream of. As a young man of his time, Ryan Garcia retains several interests. But none surpasses the love he holds for the gas guzzlers.
The boxer, after last year’s ‘Tank’ bout, walks into his next mega fight on April 20 in New York’s Barclays Center. He will face Devin Haney for the WBC light welterweight title. Ever since it was finalized, the fight has garnered considerable media attention. But in a strange twist of fate, the boxing world has rather been shaken by the bizarre actions, especially the posts of Ryan Garcia, during the last few days. He appears to have mellowed off late. However, the latest post he shared on Instagram a few hours ago, where he is talking about his favorite car, a $250,000 mid-engine delight, might contest that notion.

“For all my car lovers out there, behold my favorite car,” said Ryan Garcia. The attached clip shows him nattily dressed, walking in the lounge of perhaps a showroom. Moving towards the exit, he shook hands with someone. Outside, he stopped in front of a car in one corner of the parking lot. He said, “Pull up my favorite car of all time, the Audi R8. The last one they’re making gas, and I got it.” Then, retracting the convertible top of his high-end car, which transformed the vehicle into a sleek and open roadster, Garcia whizzed away.

The next shot shows him returning to collect the camera. In the post, he wrote, “THE AUDI R8 also seen in Iron Man! Just letting you guys in to my life a little bit.” The 2-seater sports car, as most fans know, gained widespread popularity thanks to the endorsement it received from Robert Downey Jr.‘s character, ‘Tony Stark’, aka the ‘Iron Man’, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Finally thanking God, Ryan Garcia wrote, “LOVING GOD – Having fun, training hard, and exposing the world. COMMENT YOUR FAVORITE CAR! I might even do a giveaway that just came to mind: LETS GO.” Amidst the range of reactions, the comment box saw another message from the former interim lightweight title holder.
When compared to his previous tweets and posts, the current one might appear rather innocuous to most fans. Whatever is said and done, perhaps the matter that concerns most of them remains the fate of the fight. Under no circumstances, it should cave. After all, seldom do fans witness a bout as stylistically contrasting as the showdown between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney.
