Ryan Garcia’s Mother Prays to God for Serenity and Strength Amid Cancer Diagnosis

Ryan Garcia has been making headlines of late. His fight with Devin Haney garnered a lot of attention and was one of the biggest fights of the year. Following that, Garcia tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug, ostarine. Then he shared the unfortunate news of his mother being diagnosed with breast cancer. Moreover, he was arrested at a Beverly Hills Hotel a few days back for felony vandalism. 

The boxer has been disturbed lately due to his mother’s ailing condition. The Garcia family is struggling through multiple things at the time. Amidst this, Lisa Garcia recently shared a story on Instagram of her seeking strength from God.

Ryan was born to Lisa and Henry Garcia in Victorville, California on August 8th, 1998. He has been always vocal about the support and strength he gets from his family. He gives the credit for his success to his parents and his siblings. However, the Garcia kids are going through turmoil as doctors have stated that Lisa “could go anyday” from this world as was noted in an X post by Ryan Garcia himself. 

She recently shared an image on her Instagram story that read, “God, You are my strength and hope. You form the foundation of my life, and You overwhelm my fears with Your love. With You, all things are possible. Even when everything around me seems to crumble, I will trust and not be afraid —- for my future is found in You. Thank You, God! In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Following this, she shared another story which read, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.”

Lisa Garcia has played a significant role in the boxer’s life. Thus, Ryan Garcia has been putting out posts on social media, expressing his thoughts about what he is going through because of his mother’s ailing condition. He stated that it is even affecting his mental health. 

UFC star Sean O’Malley comments on Ryan Garcia’s situation 

Garcia has had a difficult year because of the growing issues in his life. The 25-year-old boxer has been acting weirdly off late. He even shared a video on X which includes a glimpse of his arrest as the police took him to the car. The video had clips of Joker from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight movie. Garcia has shared the video in an attempt to show the similarities between his and Joker’s life. He even got criticized by fans in the comments section for acting childlike. After this, UFC Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley remarked on the situation in his podcast. 

The UFC champion mentioned on his podcast, “He’s got issues. Did you see him talking about his mom has cancer and then if she dies he’s gonna kill himself type s*t, did you see that? That’s f*king scary…He’s not doing good.”

Ryan Garcia’s social media antics have been making headlines and it can be sensed that he is struggling with mental health issues.
