Ryan Garcia’s Fearless Mother Leaves Her Fate in God’s Hands, Makes Peace With Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Ryan Garcia‘s life has been turned upside down. His mother’s recent cancer diagnosis has made him act in destructive ways. Nearly a week ago, he was arrested from a Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles for allegedly vandalizing property worth $15,000. He was subsequently sent for “medical care” in a nearby hospital. Days before, after the discovery of his mother’s illness, Garcia wrote on X, “If my mom dies I’m going with her.” The statement put his fans and colleagues on high alert, expressing concern over Garcia’s mental health. On the professional front too, Ryan Garcia has been rocked by a PED scandal following the Devin Haney fight. The immediate euphoria of defeating the ‘Dream’ was washed away by a series of unexpected setbacks. Nonetheless, in the face of such a huge personal crisis, the Garcia family has been trying their best to stay strong.

Leading from the front is Ryan Garcia’s mother, Lisa Garcia, herself. She has complete trust in her faith to guide her out of her current predicament. While Garcia is finding it difficult to cope with “incredible stress and pressure and now the devastating news of my mom’s health”, his mother confessed she is “at peace”. Lisa Garcia was immensely grateful to receive a “care package” from ‘Kaiser Permanente’, a leading healthcare consortium. In her Instagram post, she shared a brochure that aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer. “Resources, Opportunities, Support, Encouragement” was written in bold letters on the material she received. Furthermore, Mama Garcia thanked all her well-wishers who have been showing support for her as she battles breast cancer.

“Hello Everyone – I want to thank all of you who reached out with messages of support and love. Today I received a surprise (care package) from a organization called ROSE from @kaiserpermanente,” the Instagram post read.

Her faith in God seemed unshakable. She asked the divine spirit to help carry her through such a difficult period in her life, while also conveying that she was at peace and without fear. “I just want to say that my Father in whom I trust with my physical life and my spiritual life has me in his hands – I feel good and praise Him and wish I could hug him because he is so awesome! Im at peace I really am and I do not have fear,” she stated in the post.

In conclusion, she sent out a hopeful message to all the people who are suffering from breast cancer or taking care of someone who is. “Come on my journey – maybe there are other women following me who are going through this or have a loved one going through this but Let’s Gooo!! #cancersucks#love,”  she added resolutely.

Shifting the focus to Ryan Garcia, he seems to have been shaken by the unfortunate news of his mother’s illness.  So much so, that even his rivals are worried about his mental health.

Even Sean O’Malley is worried!

The UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and Ryan Garcia have both taken digs at each other on social media. O’Malley had earlier claimed that he was in talks with the UFC to figure out a way to get inside the squared circle against Ryan Garcia. Moreover, Ryan Garcia was also down for the offer. He would even go as far as to entertain a fight with MMA rules. But, fighting takes a back seat when your rival is going through a mental health crisis.

Ryan’s disturbing tweet on X where he implied that he would end his life if his mother died of cancer, caught ‘Suga’s attention. “He’s got issues. Did you see him talking about his mom has cancer and then if she dies he’s gonna kill himself type s*t, did you see that? That’s f*king scary…He’s not doing good,” O’Malley remarked.
