Ryan Garcia on his favorite boxer to train with

The conversation took this direction as Mike Tyson was talking about Ryan Garcia’s upcoming fight and refused to talk about his future plans after the Gervonta Davis bout. And then Tyson asked Garcia about his choice, if he could train under any boxer from history, then who would be his first choice?

Garcia thought about it for a second and then replied, “I would wanna train with uh, Sugar Ray Robinson.” Tyson  was a bit surprised by the answer and needed to check a second time, and then Garcia claimed that he was sure about his answer. Tyson said, “Wow.

But then Garcia gave him the reason why he chose Robinson. He said, “Just because one of my favorite fighters I looked up to was Muhammad Ali and he said, ‘Sugar Ray Robinson was the best fighter ever.’ So I’m thinking I thought you were.

Tyson saw the reason in Garcia’s statements and agreed with him. And he even talked about Robinson’s commendable record. Moreover, Tyson emphasised the fact that only a flawless record cannot be the judge of ‘greatness’. Garcia also promised his fans to recreate the Muhammad Ali moment while knocking out Gervonta Davis.
