Is the system failing fathers who want to be part of their kids' lives? Ryan Garcia thinks so.

Ryan Garcia has become a controversial hot topic in the boxing industry over the past few months. He has been making waves on the internet both before and after his fight with Devin Haney, which took place on April 20th. His most recent Instagram story, however, is not outlandish; rather, it has an important message for his fans. Garcia took the opportunity to address how single fathers struggle to see or even spend time with their children.

The 25-year-old is a father to three children – two daughters and a son. He had his first daughter with Catherine Gomez in 2019, and the couple named her Rylie. Following that, he had his second daughter, Bela, with Andrea Celina in 2020. Then in December last year, he gave birth to a baby boy with Celina and named him Henry. However, the boxer has parted ways with both Gomez and Celina. So he understands how it feels to be a single father. Check out what he said in his Instagram story.

The Victorville native’s fans are aware of his tendency to express his feelings freely on the internet. While saluting the struggles of a single father, Garcia wrote, “A father that has to fight to see his kids Tooth and nail is so damaging to his heart it’s not humanly possible to describe. To all the single fathers out there fighting for their kids I love yall”!

Garcia’s unpredictable behavior during the previous few months is indicative of mental health issues. It’s possible that Gomez and Celina, his children’s mothers, urged him to spend some time away from the children. But it is just a speculation, there have been no such reports about Garcia not getting to see his children.

Despite his social media antics, he has always been a loving father. His online posts appear to be that way at least. But the boxer remarked on Father’s Day about getting sadness in return for everything he does for his ex-wife and children.

Several countries around the globe celebrated Father’s Day last month. Posts regarding quotes about fathers and their sacrifices were all over the internet. Ryan Garcia posted something online as well, however it focused more on his challenges as a father, rather than celebrating the special day.

He took to his X account and tweeted, “Father’s Day I’m sad bc I give everything I can to my wife/ex wife and love her but still look remains sad over sad.”
