Ryan Garcia is sure of his victory against Gervonta Davis
In conversation, he gave a prediction about how he will fare against Davis. He said, “Prediction for the fight. I say I’ll beat him in about two rounds. Part of me knows that I am just better than him. What I’ve seen from him. What I know about myself, what I know they are underestimating.”
Garcia also mentioned that Davis has never faced adversity in his professional career. And also mentioned that because of the opponents he faced, he rarely felt any risk whatsoever.
He also gave an insight into why he is different from the other opponents that Davis has faced. Garcia said, “When I’m in there, obviously he knows it’s a different level of speed and power, and that I am not oblivious to the different shots he’s trying to land, which are sometimes obvious that he throws. I think that he’ll start facing the pressure, that this is a lot harder than he may have thought.”
Garcia added that he would even make adjustments during the fight to further confuse his opponent.

Garcia strongly believes that Davis is surely underestimating him as an opponent. He addressed it in the very same interview, saying, “And I think he’s underestimating my intelligence a little bit. Because I’ve created my own type of style. My defensive moves are not flashy. My footwork is not flashy. Everything I do is not flashy, but it’s very subtle”
He also credited the same for helping him rarely get hit inside the ring.
