Floyd Mayweather ranks among the greatest boxers of all time. In a 21 year long career, he remained at the peak of his game, defeating every opponent thrown in front of him. In many of his fights, Mayweather was certainly tested, but not even a single opponent could break into his defense to hammer him.

However, Ryan Garcia, the prime boxing prodigy, has a different take on ‘Pretty Boy’ and his stint.

Speaking on the Compubox TV, he said, “Even Mayweather got dropped, he got hurt. He’s gotten dropped before Zab Judah dropped him, don’t cap”

“Yeah, they never scored in a knockdown.”

“He touched the canvas. That’s a knockdown. He could deny it all he wants. We all know the rules. Plus, when he fought DeMarcus Corley, he got cracked, he was wobbled. I never got that, never happened to me.”

In his vast career, Mayweather officially capitulated to only one knockdown and that came in against Carlos Hernandez. This fight took place in 2001, and in exchange, Mayweather landed a left hook post which he abruptly touched his hands on the canvas.

He even complained about this hand, but eventually, it was ruled as a knockdown.
