Ryan Garcia vs. Vasyl Lomachenko could be an interesting matchup for the boxing world. However, both fighters remain busy in their present career trajectories, making it hard for their paths to collide. But would Garcia want it to happen? He answers the question, off the cuff.
At the moment, ‘KingRy’ remains engrossed in proving himself as an abled fighter, serious enough to lead his career to its highest point. As he does that, he will have to prove his worth against the two-division undefeated champion, Devin Haney, on the 20th of April. Once that fight is done, is there any chance that a bout between him and the Ukrainian pugilist could happen?

If the Tank fight happened, why not a fight with Loma?
As he prepares for his big New York entertainer against ‘The Dream,’ Garcia has also begun undertaking many appearances with the media. In one of them, with Fight Hub TV, the fighter was quizzed on the chances of seeing him fight against the 36-year-old Southpaw who almost defeated Devin Haney last year. In response, not hesitant about such an undertaking, Garcia noted, “Oh yeah, we can always run that. I would love to fight Loma, I mean, look at it. If I fought Tank, I will fight Loma. I mean, that’s not a problem for me. I would love that.”
While the California-based fighter trains for his confrontation with Haney, Loma is still coming off a controversial, on-points loss to the latter. In May last year, while he suffered the loss to Haney, spectators were of the opinion that he landed more punches and deserved the victory. He now remains slated to fight on the 12th of May against George Kambosos Jr. in a Perth, Australia fight.
A showdown between Garcia and Loma is not something that is heavily awaited by fans given their different paths to the sport. However, inklings of their fight had risen almost a year ago, and this is what each of them had to say.

Ryan Garcia vs. Vasyl Lomachenko: Who said what?
Ahead of his matchup against Gervonta Davis, a fight that marked his career’s first loss, KingRy called out Loma. He had referred to the 17-3, fighter as a “robot” and had vowed to “break” him post the ‘Tank’ fight.
Predicting for certain that Tank would defeat Ry in their fight, Loma noted that whatever the fighter had to say about him did not affect him. He told ESNEWS, “No. I don’t care he’s always talking. Just talking.”
