Garcia further predicted about the fight. He said, “I feel whoever loses that fight will have to retire for sure. I feel like I think GGG is going to have an amazing fight someway, somehow. Obviously, there’s Canelo, but I just have a sense that GGG is gonna have a performance of a lifetime. I’m gonna say GGG.”

Garcia feels that Golovkin will put on a “performance of a lifetime” and beat Alvarez to close out the trilogy. This is certainly a bold choice by The Flash as he did not pick his former teammate Alvarez to win the fight. Moreover, Alvarez will be the favorite to win coming into this fight as Golovkin is now 40 years old and in the last stages of his career. Albeit, Garcia backed the Kazakh boxer and believes that he will be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat to take home the bragging rights.

The-23-year-old is currently one of the best boxers in the lightweight division right now with an unbeaten record of 22-0. He will face veteran boxer Javier Fortuna in his next fight on July 16 at the Crypto.com arena, formerly known as the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Ryan Garcia will step foot into the ring for the first time since beating Emmanuel Tagoe via decision in April this year.
If Garcia overcomes his next challenge, there are many potential matchups for ‘Kingry’. The lightweight division is currently loaded with talent with fighters like Devin Haney, Gervonta Davis, and Vasyl Lomachenko. Moreover, there are talks of a possible super-fight between Garcia and Davis as both fighters have been vocal on social media, taking shots at each other. A fight between the two would be one of the biggest fights the sport has seen and the toughest in Garcia’s career.
