Showtime Boxing and MMA analyst Brendan Schaub made a startling claim after Ryan Garcia‘s first professional defeat to Gervonta Davis. As usual, Gervonta Davis started at a slow pace, carefully measuring Garcia’s placements and reach. While ‘KingRy’ (now, 23-1-0) looked forward to adding pressure on Davis (now, 29-0-0) in the second round with a flurry of desperate punches, Davis responded through his accuracy and by dropping Garcia on the ground.
True to his words, in the seventh round, Davis hit Garcia with an almost invisible left hand to the body and dropped Garcia to one of his knees. Following the spectacular performance by Davis, Brendan Schaub made a claim regarding Garcia stepping in with a so-called “previous injury“. Although Schaub assured of not robbing ‘Tank’ of his due credit, he stressed the unusual condition of Garcia.

Irrespective of everything, Davis however lauded Garcia after the fight. At the post-fight interview, Dan Rafael asked Davis where Garcia stood in terms of all the “quality guys” he has been in the ring with. According to Davis, Garcia is so far the best fighter he has fought in boxing. In addition, he spoke about having fun while it lasted. “Probably, I say the best fighter. It was fun while it lasted, I mean I enjoyed every moment of it,” declared ‘Tank’ who made Drake a huge profit following his latest victory.
