Returning to the ring after 15-months, Ryan ‘The Flash’ Garcia took on Emmanuel Tagoe, the former IBO lightweight champion. Known for his speed and agility, Garcia went the distance against the Ghanian.

Following an emphatic display of pure boxing, Gracia won by a unanimous decision and remains undefeated. Although the fight was incredible, the world couldn’t stop talking about Garcia’s back tattoo.
What’s the story behind Ryan Garcia’s tattoo?
Something looked different about the 23-year-old and boxing fans around the world caught on to it. It was his back tattoo that had the world talking. It looked like a sword going down his spine. However, only the handle of it was completed as of now.

As Garcia celebrated extending his undefeated record to 22-0, he explained his tattoo by putting out an Instagram story stating, “Everyone wondering about my back tattoo I haven’t finished it that’s why it looked like that and I couldn’t finish it before the fight haha and plus back tattoos hurt bad.”
Fans did not shy away from pointing out the former WBC interim lightweight champion’s tattoo did not look as it was intended.

What’s next for The Flash?
Following his magnificent return to the squared circle, Garcia has a few potential fighters to pick from to add to his undefeated record. ‘KingRy’ has previously called out Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis for a fight, however, this matchup never came to fruition.
