Things are getting heated between Ryan Garcia and Jake Paul, who once trained with each other. Fresh from social media, the young ‘Ry’ has defended himself against the jokes Paul poked at his financial standing as a fighter.
Last night, Paul completed his career’s 10th fight in an expected 10th-round knockout win over inactive fighter Ryan Bourland. Not pleased by it, Ry, who once was close to the ‘Problem Child’, took it upon himself to end his nascent reign in the boxing realm. As he called on the influencer-boxer for a fight, the latter took shots at his claims of a ‘million dollar’ making fighter. In response came 25-year-old Ry, ready to provide bills.

On his X, ‘KingRy’ gave some pertinent details on how he could soon make a billion dollars. He wrote, “Wow I’m projected to make a billion dollars if you don’t believe me I’ll be posting proof. Something I thought of as a kid and many times after that and didn’t know it was in the realm of possibility.” His response comes in light of Paul taking some serious digs at the money Ry has made so far.

At the post-fight presser last night, Paul was quizzed on the vow Ry had taken to end his boxing career. In response, claiming that the fighter was using co*aine, Paul accepted the challenge. However, in a serious attack, he also noted, “There’s a line – you just seem like you’re losing your mind, acting thirsty, and desperate, and saying you’re a millionaire when you’ve had one money fight. I’m just saying – just chill, bro.”
Reaffirming his belief in god, Garcia, without mentioning at any point Paul’s name in his response, remarked, “Thank you God, not for the money but for shaping the man I am!!! PRAISE YOU THRU EVERYTHING! THRU THE STORM THRU THE HIGH AND THE LOWS.”

Come April 2oth, California-based, Garcia will compete against his contemporary Devin Haney in a New York fight that is set to make the fighter $80-$100 million. Last year, in his career’s first loss, he fought Gervonta Davis. That fight earned him about $30 million.
However, it is not just the financial front he’s defending himself against. There is also the ‘co*aine’ angle Paul had levied against him.

Ry responds to allegations of co*aine use
At the presser, dismissing the call out by Garcia, the Dorado, Peurto Rico-based fighter, threw some serious allegations of co*aine use against the former. He mentioned, “He’s doing some co*aine. That boy is getting that s*** straight from Colombia or something. That s***’s strong.” In response came a fuming Garcia.
In an X post, he explained, “If I’ve lied about the things I’m saying and doing then yeah I’m tripping. But I’m not and everyone is coming at me like I’m on drugs and I’m going thru an episode nah! DRUG TEST ME! YOU WILL NEVER FIND DRUGS. If I did coke or drugs there would’ve been a video Leaked already.”
