Ryan Garcia has had enough. The American had an outburst when he saw a shortened clip of him crying from his TikTok Live projected in a different context. He has grown weary of the recent claims about his degrading mental health and has issued a clarification regarding the viral clip posted by a famed journalist. So, what did he say?
‘KingRy’ has faced severe criticism in recent days for his social media shenanigans and antics ahead of his fight with Devin Haney. While some label it a ploy and trolling, others see it as a sign of spiraling down ahead of a big showdown. However, when Michael Benson posted a clip of the lightweight boxer crying, it didn’t sit well with Garcia. The Victorville native called him out for posting this clip “for clicks and views.”

Garcia, 25, turned to his X handle and spelled out that it was not his struggles with mental health that made him shed tears, but his love for God. He wrote, “Praise Jesus, those who know the Holy Spirit will make a grown man cry. You shortened the video I was worshipping God on my TikTok live with my community.”

You shortened the video I was worshipping God on my TikTok live with my community.
I love God and you titled this as if I was crying due to mental instability.
I find it distasteful, and disrespectful… https://t.co/M3c5cOjpQB

Moreover, Garcia blasted Benson for projecting as if he were crying because of mental health struggles. He added, “I love God and you titled this as if I was crying due to mental instability. I find it distasteful, and disrespectful to my beliefs. But again get your clicks and views. See you 4/20.”
The growing concerns about Garcia’s mental well-being even troubled Mauricio Sulaiman. The WBC President held talks with the New York State Athletic Commission about a mental health checkup for the fighter. But in a recent Instagram live, Garcia appeared intoxicated and refused the need for any such evaluation. Meanwhile, the lightweight boxer’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, has his back. The famed promoter believes Garcia’s theatrics are mere trolling.

“Ryan Garcia… He’s in great spirits. He’s working his a** off in the gym. Don’t mind the posts. That takes like five, 10 seconds of his time. He’s working hard every single minute of the day,” De La Hoya told Chris Mannix.
